The World Wide Web poises problems in A Social Affair by Pat Tucker and Earl Sewell. Codi Norman is a thirty-two year old woman who is bored with her marriage. Codi is fed up with her husband and his “always in your business” mother. When Codi’s best friend, Katina asks her to join in on an online business venture, Codi jumps at the chance.
Quinn Hamilton is a married man looking for a change from his nagging wife. When Quinn's cousin Calvin, asks him to accompany him on a date with some lovely ladies, Quinn is all in. Quinn and Calvin meet Codi and Katina under assumed names from their online site. After spending time with the ladies, Quinn decides to continue his affair with Codi whom he believes is Candi. When secrets are revealed, will Quinn and Codi be able to handle the consequences?
A Social Affair was about deception by means of the internet. The authors do a wonderful job including the element of suspense of Codi and Quinn wiggling their way out of the fire. A Social Affair lets readers know that playing with people’s emotions can go too far. This was an entertaining book that had a little drama, suspense and made me laugh at times. I recommend this book to others.
