The Santiago drama is back in The Ace of Diamonds by Vogue. In this third installment, Jay has been released from prison and is back rebuilding is empire with Malik. Jay has decided that he wants to change business ventures and get out of the drug game. He approaches an old friend who he believes will be able to get the ball running. Jay soon realizes that everything is not as it seems especially when there are people trying their best to bring harm to him and his family.
Carmen Santiago Kane is still trying to make her marriage with Michael Kane work. Kane is still determined to bring his wife’s ex down and put him away for life. Carmen is stuck in the middle because she loves both Michael and Jay. When Jay approaches her about helping him with his new business venture it brings them closer. Carmen is soon asking Michael for a divorce, which makes him want to destroy Jay even more. When Carmen agrees to help Jay she is not aware that she is also putting herself in the crossfire of Jay’s enemies.
Blu is an old friend of King’s who joins the team to be of assistance. When King gets out of jail he is hit with the realization that his friend has tried to take over his family’s empire. King also finds out that harsh decisions were made by Jay and some of his friends are missing. King’s heart darkens and soon he picks up where Blu left off, fighting to take over everything Jay has built.
The Ace of Diamonds is about greed, betrayal and consequences. This book is consistent with the first two books of the series and has more secrets, lies and drama. These characters will have readers turning pages until the end. I recommend The Ace of Diamond to others.
